December already

Snow flurries today!

Snow flurries, Christmas music, spiced hot cider.
Final papers. Final projects. Reading, reading, reading.
Freaking out because the wireless died. Being happy because the wired connections work.
Tired. Sleeping poorly, waking up at least twice every night since Thanksgiving. Using sleep mask, but still waking up.
Got sick on the day before the full moon, had no classes that day. Really hate being female sometimes.

Remembering that God is good, all the time, all the time, He is good.
Seeing the beauty in the floating flakes of snow.
Helping a friend.
Singing carols.
Learning piano on a baby keyboard.

Life has its balances and counterbalances. Life carries on despite our troubles and our joys. I like my life.

  1. It is so good for us to truly appreciate every blessing in our lives. Though we are in a spiritual battle, and though the elements are difficult to survive, etc, etc, God has not left us without comfort. There are daily small comforts, plus the love of friends and family that feed and nourish our souls, and most of all the richest blessings of the Holy Spirit to open up our understanding of the depths of God's love for us. Hard to write about the love of God because it is so big. But I love reading your words of balance, and how they come out like poetry.
